Hi to you.

If the title of this here blog makes sense to you, you're probably in the right place. It's from the book Alcoholics Anonymous. It refers to the fact that even those of us with what is now called mental illness can recover from alcoholism.

I am alcoholic and I have mental illness. Sometimes I suffer from one, sometimes from the other, sometimes from both. But a lot of the time I don't suffer at all. I think that's what I want this to be about, not suffering anymore.

So from time to time I'll post about one or the other, or both.

Oh yeah, I've been sober for a while. I live in northern Arizona, but got sober in St. Pete, Florida and then lived in Minneapolis, MN for quite a while. I've married in sobriety, and I have three children with four legs, fur and tails.

Well, here's to a start. Hopefully something more profound and/or interesting soon.
